    SAW OPERATOR

    Advantech Industries, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility.

     

    We are currently seeking an individual to collaborate with us as a Saw Operator. The Saw Operator is responsible for reading job orders for specifications, such as material type, size of stock and dimensions to be cut, while setting up and operating metal-swing machines. The Saw Operator is also responsible for setting up and operating assigned machines to support manufacturing needs.

    Successful candidates will possess:

    + A HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience;

    + Ability to use precision measuring tools while reading drawings and blueprints;

    + Alignment with the requirements and principles of the Advantech Quality Management System and ISO 9001:2015;

    + Skills to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently;

    + Capacity to handle changes in business operations and adjust to new situations;

    + Preparedness to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and operate equipment;

    + Ability to work with limited supervision.

    According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $20.00 - $25.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
