Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Workplace Type: Hybrid (1 to 2 days a week)

Job Description

Join a dynamic and rapidly growing tech company delivering innovative products and software solutions across multiple industries, including defense, boating, and healthcare. We are seeking a versatile Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to a range of exciting projects, from embedded systems for marine electronics to Bluetooth-enabled healthcare devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and document software for both new and existing products.

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop embedded firmware for diverse hardware platforms.

+ Collaborate with design teams on concepts, wireframes, and mock-ups.

+ Write efficient, well-documented code for both back-end and front-end systems.

+ Test and debug features, including hardware integration and troubleshooting.

+ Contribute to multiple projects as needed, adapting to changing requirements.

+ Communicate proactively with team members and project leads.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (BSEE or BSCE).

+ 3+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development.

+ Proficiency in writing C++ or C# for software controls for hardware.

+ Experience with FreeRTOS or any Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with microcontrollers, particularly STM.

+ Knowledge of Mentor Graphics/Hardware.

+ App development and firmware experience.

Work Environment

The role offers hybrid work flexibility, with the opportunity to work remotely 1-2 days per week. You will be part of a small team of 2-3 other embedded software engineers. Projects are custom and new, providing diverse and engaging challenges. The company has recently expanded, contributing to a backlog of exciting projects to tackle.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $60.00/hr.
