    Job Title: Transmission Line Lead

    Job Description

    The Transmission Line Lead is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and solving complex technical problems related to transmission line projects. This role requires strong computing and design abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to supervise and lead a team effectively. The successful candidate will ensure technical adequacy of all outputs and comply with safety requirements.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead, mentor, and support the Transmission Line team, ensuring high performance and professional development.

    + Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to transmission line projects.

    + Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Senior Management, Department Managers, Group Leads, and other team members.

    + Effectively communicate project status, technical issues, and team needs through both verbal and written formats.

    + Promote and enforce safety requirements, ensuring all team activities comply with safety standards.

    + Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and other specialized technical applications relevant to the Transmission Line group.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in utilizing PLS-CADD (SAPS, Steel, Wood, Tower), AutoCAD, and Excel software.

    + Aptitude for computing and design.

    + Good verbal and written communication skills.

    + Good interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment.

    + Supervisory skills to lead a team effectively.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + A four-year technical degree in engineering.

    + A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in Transmission Line Design.

    + Professional registration is desirable.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $76.92/hr.

     

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
