The Electrical Engineer will be accountable for the design, documentation, and development of next-generation electrical/controls-hardware standards.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible for high-level electrical/controls-hardware concepts, including functionality, feasibility, quality, manufacturability, costs, and completion time.
+ Develop circuit designs for motor control, sensing, power distribution, communication, and cabling.
+ Maintain Electrical group's standards of excellence in design development process and provide guidance on local and national regulation and industry standards.
+ Review final designs and its deliverables providing a smooth transition to the relevant stakeholders.
+ Mentor less-experienced employees, drive innovation, remove roadblocks, and build consensus.
+ Consider impacts to other disciplines and make optimum use of team members' expertise.
+ Act as a resource for internal and external customers providing electrical/controls-hardware technical detail.
Essential Skills
+ Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.
+ 5+ years of industrial electrical design engineering experience, specifically in electrical design of material handling.
+ Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
+ Experience in creating electrical designs from scratch, including one-lines and schematics.
+ Knowledge of industrial ethernet and modern field buses such as Profinet, TCP/IP, and ASi.
+ Familiarity with electrical codes like NFPA 70 and NFPA 79.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with EPLAN.
+ Conveyor experience.
+ Experience with 3rd party panel shops.
Work Environment
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from any location. You will join a team of five electrical engineers, forming a close-knit and collaborative group. The role involves working on state-of-the-art technology within the material handling sector, helping companies solve complex material handling challenges.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $60.10/hr.
