Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a high-volume pharmacy production environment where your skills in processing and filling prescription orders will be crucial. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing prescriptions for pharmacist verification, packing and shipping completed orders to patients, and maintaining drug inventory and automated dispensing units. You will also replenish work station supplies and work within multiple computer systems to respond to medication-related inquiries.

Responsibilities

+ Process and fill prescription orders for pharmacist verification.

+ Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients.

+ Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units.

+ Replenish supplies such as vials, caps, and labels at work stations.

+ Operate within multiple computer systems simultaneously.

+ Respond to questions and provide specific medication details or clinical information.

+ Contribute to filling an average of 50,000 prescriptions per day as part of the evening shift team.

Essential Skills

+ Pharmacy technician license.

+ Experience in production line and pharmacy production.

+ Inventory and fulfillment skills.

+ NJ state license required for pharmacy technician.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ PTCB or CPhT certification preferred, but not required.

+ Experience in a high-volume production environment is beneficial.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires working 40 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. The shift runs from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with occasional overtime or weekend work as business needs dictate. The role involves standing for the entire shift, filling medications, and potentially lifting boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. The work environment is fast-paced, ensuring the accurate and efficient delivery of medications. Technicians rotate between different stations, including replenishments, manual puck stations, bottle counting with Kerby machines, and tray and spatula filling stations with Yuyama machines. There is also an offline station for troubleshooting within the pharmacy.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
