• EMC Technician

    Actalent (Allen Park, MI)


    EMC Test Technician - Key Responsibilities and Skills:

    + General automotive knowledge and understanding of electronic sensors and controls

    + Knowledge of AC & DC electricity

    + Test vehicle installation and positioning in test chambers

    + Test vehicle tie-down on chamber dynamometer

    + Execute vehicle level EMC testing identified in test requests

    + Compiling or tabulation of test results for further review

    + Reading vehicle schematics and topologies

    + Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues (Vehicle and Facility Test Equipment)

    + Assist in supporting EMC lab daily operations (Facility, Safety, Quality, etc.)

    + Fabricate, modify, and repair wire harnesses (overlays, splicing, re-pin, etc.)

    + Support design/build up of instrumentation/fixtures for specialized test requirements and/or to improve automation of testing

    Tools:

    + Hand tools

    + Cordless drills

    + Soldering tools – (soldering, de-soldering)

    Test Equipment:

    + Oscilloscope

    + DVM

    + CAN Tools - DET/Vector/Intrepid

    + Power supplies

    + RF Related equipment (receivers, signal generators, amplifiers, antennas, etc.

    + Dynamometer

    Software:

    - MS Office Suite

    - ELMS

    - MS Teams

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, Michigan. It is an onsite role.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
