We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the daily monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality. This role involves developing and writing equipment and process standards, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, and assisting in the development of new products. The position requires close collaboration with project management and cross-functional teams to support installations, new launches, and special or capital projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement throughout the plant. The engineer will also have a role in the development of equipment preventive maintenance and may use CAD for tooling, jig, and fixture design.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes and equipment.
+ Develop and write equipment and process standards.
+ Troubleshoot process and equipment problems.
+ Assist in the development of new products.
+ Collaborate with project management and cross-functional teams for installations and new launches.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ Drive continuous improvement throughout the plant.
+ Develop equipment preventive maintenance procedures.
+ Use CAD for tooling, jig, and fixture design.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of related manufacturing experience.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude.
+ Knowledge of MS Office.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other computer-aided design tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years of experience in manufacturing is a plus.
+ Experience with machining.
+ Knowledge of robotics and PLC programming.
Work Environment
The role requires 80% of the time on the production floor and 20% in the office. The environment includes both office and production floor settings, with temperatures ranging from cold to very hot, varying noise levels, and occasional fumes. Ear protection is mandatory at all times. The role demands the ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities, with minimal supervision after orientation and training. A strong customer-service orientation and the ability to work productively in environments with high levels of interruption are necessary.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paris, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.
