Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead complex projects and plant modifications within the nuclear sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic planning to optimize resource use and will personally control and authorize projects with budgets up to $1,000,000.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and manage complex projects and plant modifications, specifically in safety-related systems.

+ Develop strategic plans to optimize the use of resources.

+ Control and authorize projects with budgets up to $1,000,000.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry.

+ At least 7 years in a leadership role.

+ Proficiency in nuclear project management.

+ Experience in strategic planning and resource optimization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Graduate or GED.

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

+ 5+ years of supervisor/management experience.

+ Preferred Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

+ 5+ years of nuclear experience preferred.

+ Experience with estimating systems.

+ In absence of degree, 10+ years of project management experience in the nuclear or fossil industry.

Work Environment

The role requires working within a nuclear facility, leading projects that involve complex safety-related systems. The work environment is dynamic and demands precise attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Collaboration with diverse teams and managing high-budget projects are key aspects of the role. The attire is typically professional, in line with industry standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Palo, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $100.00/hr.
