About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Radar Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at the forefront of advanced radar system development. This role is critical to shaping the future of radar capabilities that support national defense initiatives. You will lead the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge radar technologies, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and engaging directly with internal leadership and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you will:
+ Define and manage radar system requirements, translating them into actionable design and implementation strategies.
+ Architect radar systems and develop algorithms to meet stringent performance and mission objectives.
+ Conduct in-depth performance analysis, identify system deficiencies, and propose innovative technical solutions.
+ Prototype, test, and validate new algorithms to enhance radar functionality, resilience, and adaptability.
+ Collaborate with agile software development teams to ensure accurate implementation of system requirements.
+ Present technical plans, system designs, and performance assessments to internal stakeholders and external customers.
+ Support modeling and simulation efforts to evaluate tactical software and radar system behavior under operational conditions.
Focus Areas May Include:
+ Electronic Protection, signal processing, and applied mathematics
+ Hypersonic threat defense and advanced tracking algorithms
+ Target discrimination, search optimization, and battle manager interface integration
+ Radar calibration, diagnostics, and deployed site support
+ Modeling and simulation of radar systems and tactical software
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field
+ Extensive experience in radar systems engineering, preferably within defense or aerospace sectors
+ Strong background in algorithm development, signal processing, and system architecture
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze complex system performance and drive technical improvements
+ Experience working in agile development environments and cross-functional engineering teams
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with hypersonic defense systems or missile tracking technologies
+ Familiarity with radar calibration and deployed system support
+ Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or equivalent
+ Active security clearance
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $130.00/hr.
