    We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. You must be adaptable to various project types, including programming, code/zoning, entitlement issues, construction documentation, bidding, and permitting. Experience with the construction administration process is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents.

    + Adapt to the details of different project types, including programming, code/zoning, and entitlement issues.

    + Handle construction documentation, bidding, and permitting.

    + Engage in the construction administration process.

    + Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, ego-free team environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.

    + Experience in the construction document and construction administration phases of architecture projects.

    + Ability to produce construction documents.

    + An accredited degree in Architecture.

    + 6-10 years of relevant experience.

    + Actively pursuing licensure or already a licensed architect.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Diverse portfolio highlighting multi-family projects.

    + Experience with a variety of project types including core and shell, interiors, mixed-use, retail/entertainment, institutional, corporate interiors, hospitality, amenity, and commercial projects.

    Work Environment

    This position is part of an award-winning firm with a 60-year history located in the vibrant West Loop. The team consists of approximately 40 architects and a small design team, fostering a lively, close-knit culture. The office offers an open-concept space filled with natural light and individual workspaces. The workweek includes four days in the office and one remote day, with a flexible schedule communicated with the team. The firm promotes a work-hard, play-hard mentality and maintains a great work/life balance. The office hours are typically from 8-9 AM to 5-6 PM, with flexibility as needed. The team values community involvement and regularly engages in outings and activities together.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, Illinois.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr.
