Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer leads multiple engineering projects focused on new product development, design improvements, and cost reductions. This role involves full-cycle development of electrical subsystems, including printed circuit boards and sensor technologies, from concept through to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

+ Design and develop electrical subsystems and sensor products.

+ Build and test prototypes to validate performance.

+ Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables.

+ Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and manufacturability standards.

+ Support cross-functional teams including purchasing, service, sales, and production.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in electrical, electrical engineering, and electrical design.

+ Experience with substation, power supplies, and power distribution.

+ Skilled in PCB design and sensor design.

+ Expertise in thermal engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

+ 10+ years of experience in product development and manufacturing.

+ Experience in both electrical and electronic products.

+ Knowledge of 3-phase equipment and power distribution systems.

+ Experience with high voltage power electronics and switch mode power supply.

+ Understanding of PCB design and layout.

+ Knowledge of thermal and heat management is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is onsite, working with the engineering team every day. Occasionally, remote work might be possible, but it is not considered a hybrid position. The role is balanced between the office and the manufacturing floor, involving hands-on work with equipment and guiding it through the full development lifecycle from design to testing to build.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westlake, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $60.00/hr.
