Job Title: Experienced DeltaV Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior DeltaV Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This role involves leading the design, implementation, and project management of large-scale capital automation projects within the Life Sciences industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems and possess a strong technical background in designing and delivering cGMP-compliant automation solutions. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing complete project life cycles, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize biopharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
+ Design and implement DeltaV control systems for complex Life Sciences capital projects.
+ Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
+ Lead system architecture development and devise control strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
+ Design batch sequencing, phase logic, and recipe structures to optimize production efficiency and regulatory compliance.
+ Develop DeltaV graphics using DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate in accordance with ISA-101 HMI guidelines.
+ Utilize a class-based approach in design to maximize scalability and standardization across projects.
+ Develop electrical designs, including power distribution, panel layouts, and grounding strategies for automation systems.
+ Specify and procure instrumentation and hardware components.
+ Design and implement industrial networking solutions, including Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Foundation Fieldbus.
+ Integrate third-party equipment with DeltaV systems using protocols such as OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Emerson DeltaV systems.
+ Experience in designing cGMP-compliant automation solutions.
+ Strong background in system architecture and control strategy development.
+ Expertise in developing DeltaV graphics and utilizing ISA-101 HMI guidelines.
+ Ability to design and implement industrial networking solutions.
+ Skills in integrating third-party equipment using various protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in developing electrical designs for automation systems.
+ Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
+ Capability to optimize production efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office environment with a desk or cubicle setup. Employees will frequently use computers, engineering tools, and industrial control systems. The role may require occasional lifting, climbing, and working in production facilities during commissioning activities. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
