    Role Summary/Purpose:

    The Vice President, Dental Sales Leader will play a critical role in accelerating growth within the Dental industry. This individual will have direct responsibility for leading and managing a team of VP, Regional Directors and Practice Development Managers focused exclusively on the Dental business responsible for, driving key business metrics, increasing usage of CareCredit & other products within the Health & Wellness ecosystem. Key priorities for this role include driving innovation and maximizing the effectiveness of the sales organization while building and maintaining strong working relationships with GMs, National and Strategic Account Leaders, Key Clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.

     

    This role will hire mentor, coach, counsel, co-travel and train their Regional Directors, field sales Metro & Area Practice Development Managers. The incumbent works directly with the SVP Industry Leadership to execute sales strategies as well as cross business activities that advance the Dental business.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    This individual will spearhead a remote field sales team across the U.S., collaborating closely with Regional Directors and Industry GMs to develop and execute national and regional visitation and sales strategies. This leadership role focuses on leveraging data analytics and technology to drive provider growth, optimize sales performance and align field coverage with critical business KPIs.

    Day to day responsibilities for the VP, Industry Sales Leader will include the following:

    + Lead and mentor a remote field sales team across the U.S., maximizing performance to achieve apps and sales goals.

    + Partner with Industry GMs and Regional Directors to develop and implement national and regional sales and visitation strategies aligned with critical KPIs.

    + Oversee daily field sales activities, ensuring effective territory coverage and provider engagement.

    + Develop and standardize sales models and processes, embedding tools, enablement, and data analytics to optimize sales workflows.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify new industry opportunities and influence ongoing industry strategies.

    + Drive change initiatives across field, hybrid, and inside sales teams, translating strategy into clear transformation plans with milestones.

    + Partner with leadership on segmentation, quotas, cadences, playbooks, and enablement with dotted-line oversight.

    + Conduct virtual and in-person co-travels with Practice Development Managers and Regional Directors to support sales standards.

    + Utilize internal sales tools and technology (e.g., Salesforce, Teams, Seismic) to enhance productivity and adherence to role expectations.

    + Provide regular sales performance updates and value-added analysis to Executives, GMs, and sales leadership.

    + Monitor voice of customer (VOC) gathering insights regularly and partner with the field to develop actionable growth strategies.

    + Set clear sales objectives and KPIs, track progress, and ensure delivery of field results that drive industry growth.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements across all sales activities.

    + Maintain strong organizational culture through implementing programs that drive employee development, morale, motivation, leveraging SYF Leadership commitments, Great Places To Work efforts and championing diversity and inclusion principles.

    + Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    + Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of direct sales leadership experience in Financial Services and/or outside sales, inclusive of experience in effective people management, leading and developing a team to execute performance results, drive accountability, coach and motivate individuals for success.

    + Minimum of 5 years of territory sales/marketing experience with proven record of driving growth and developing relationships and driving results. 5+ years of leadership/team building experience with a solid track record of navigating a matrix organization and motivating others to act.

    + 5+ years of experience leveraging CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and other technology platforms to inform strategy and optimize team performance.

    + Willingness to travel 70%, overnight and some weekend travel

    + Must be able to work from a home office.

    Desired Characteristics:

    + Prior experience leading a geographically dispersed team

    + Strong financial/analytical, and negotiation skills

    + Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative; excellent organizational and influencing skills

    + Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively interact and build relationships at all levels of the organization

    + Private Label Sales and Marketing experience. Finance business/industry acumen.

    + Excellent client relationship skills along with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

    + Knowledge of customer financial drivers/needs, Dental Sales / Marketing experience.

    + Customer focused mind set with ability to respond quickly to customer needs. Strong interpersonal communication skills (written, oral, non-verbal).

    + Proven ability to work remotely and independently.

     

    Grade/Level: 14

     

    The salary range for this position is **150,000.00 - 250,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

     

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

     

    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    + You must be 18 years or older

    + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

    + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

    + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
