Role Summary/Purpose:
The Brand team's purpose is to articulate and ensure the Synchrony brand strategically aligned and integrated across all products, partner platforms, communication channels and touchpoints. The **Associate Vice President, Brand Integration** is a service-oriented leader who appreciates that brand building work is in the details and can influence better brand outcomes through their deliverables while simultaneously improving relationships with colleagues.
Reporting to the Vice President, Brand Strategy and Integration this leader will be in a highly visible role responsible for representing the Synchrony brand identity, reimagining touch points to align them with the brand, and supporting the strategic direction of Brand to internal functions and departments (e.g. Consumer Engagement & Brand, Marketing, Internal Studio, Enterprise Product Marketing, Product, Digital Design & Engagement, Performance Marketing, Corporate Affairs, HR, etc).

Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events._
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Review, advise, and/or create on-brand materials for a variety of projects and touch points. Support ad-hoc requests for key teams, including but not limited to high-priority and/or quick turn requests, communications, creative for internal events or leaders, etc.
+ Draft creative briefs and project charters for internal efforts to align leaders ahead of work stream kickoffs-setting teams up for success
+ Shape, manage, and execute project plans for updating communication flows, touch points, materials, and creative. Project management and the ability to follow up unprompted are essential.
+ Collaborate across Brand, CE teams, and other functions to brainstorm ideas, solutions, approaches to opportunities, etc. to 'make the brand sing'
+ Be a proactive student of the Synchrony brand, the sector, the brand's communications, and user experiences. This includes mining the work of competitors, consumer & customer insights decks, and data on hand to inform your perspective/guide your work
+ Support the VP Brand Strategy & Integration in acquiring intel, benchmarking, brainstorming, consumer testing, and/or piloting programs
+ Assess needs and/or gaps in current work and deliver recommendations to align them with the brand identity
+ Be an ambassador and advocate for the Brand Team to step in, support, and elevate the Brand
+ Build a personal brand of reliability, consistency, and service-to the brand ideal, the brand strategy, and stakeholders. Success in this role will be determined by the ability to influence the organization through consumer, merchant and industry insights, data and strategic brand ideas vs brand campaign development and execution. A _bility to influence and build relationships expands access to teams, initiatives, and opportunities to amplify brand impact._
+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred, or a high school diploma and 5 years of work experience
+ 3+ years of experience in a marketing function, creative services, or brand strategy agency preferred
+ Brand management experience preferred; strong understanding of brand concepts and best practices
+ Requires creativity and critical thinking skills, along with the flexibility to work across teams and influence in a highly matrixed organization.
+ Outstanding verbal/written communication, proofreading, editing, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work both independently and as a part of a team
+ Microsoft Office skills required
+ Ability to travel up to 15% per year

+ Understanding of brand identity, brand campaigns, ad concepts, and marketing strategies
+ Specific knowledge of project management, time management, and prioritization is ideal
+ Demonstrated ability to review and interpret research by finding the story, then making strategic brand recommendations
+ Experience in marketing communication flows, email flows, and journeys
+ Strong business acumen and work ethic; contributes to process improvements
+ Ability to influence in a matrixed environment and have/share a point of view
+ Excellent leadership and communication skills; comfortable presenting to others
+ Ability to prep for conversations, build relationships with ease, and work collaboratively w/ cross-functional teams to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ High level of adaptability, curiosity, and innovation
+ Proven track record collaborating with agencies as well as a wide variety of internal teams
+ Proven track record of repeatedly delivering work on time, on budget, and meeting all technical requirements while building better relationships with colleagues and agencies
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is **90,000.00 - 155,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
+ You must be 18 years or older
+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
