    Job Title: CNC Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator with experience in heavy industrial machine operation. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to read and interpret calipers and tape measures, set up products onto machinery, and demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate heavy industrial machinery, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.

    + Read and interpret calipers, tape measures, and basic blueprints.

    + Set up products onto the machinery and follow step-by-step instructions to ensure precision.

    + Measure products to ensure they meet quality standards and notify management if tolerances are off.

    + Perform minimal deburring of products and utilize a hand crane to move materials off the production line.

    + Meet minimum production output requirements and complete documentation of errors, measurements, and product completion.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work area.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in heavy industrial or steel fabrication and steel cutting.

    + Proficiency in machine operation or CNC operation.

    + Ability to read and interpret measurement tools such as calipers and tape measures.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to read basic blueprints.

    + Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility is older and divided into two separate buildings, with plans to expand rapidly and add three shifts. It is a loud, dirty, and hot environment during warm months and cold during winter. Employees work in specific departments under the guidance of a supervisor and a set team. The facility features large CNC machinery areas, weld booths, and racking systems, with ongoing efforts to upgrade the facility. Steel-toed shoes are required, and training will be conducted on the day shift.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, Indiana.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.40 - $21.40/hr.
