Job Title: Material Handling Specialist
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Material Handling Specialist, where you will coordinate the unloading and storage of incoming ingredient oils and perform essential sanitation duties. This role is crucial to our sauce manufacturing operations, ensuring that all processes adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures for optimal food safety.
Responsibilities
+ Coordinate daily schedules for unloading and storing incoming ingredient oils.
+ Perform sanitation duties in tank farm areas, following GMPs and SSOPs.
+ Work on the rail line to manage the connection of piping systems to tankers, facilitating efficient material transfer into the plant.
+ Utilize mechanical skills and hand tools to manage hose fittings, valves, and transfer equipment.
+ Operate forklifts (sit-down or stand-up) to assist with material movement and support the transfer process.
+ Maintain strong attention to detail and adhere to safety protocols in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in material handling and general labor.
+ Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
+ Forklift operation experience (sit-down or stand-up).
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically active environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with RF scanners, packing, and pallet jacks.
+ Capability to climb onto tankers at heights of approximately 10-15 feet.

Work Environment
Work involves outdoor and adverse temperature conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. Employees may be exposed to vibrations, operational chemicals, fumes, and food allergens such as soy and dairy. The role requires working in confined and dark spaces, as well as at heights exceeding 18 feet. The schedule follows a 5pm-5am, 2/2/3 rotation on the B Team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.81 - $22.81/hr.
