    Job Title: Roadside Service Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Roadside Service Technician, where you will start with a comprehensive 45-day training period in the service department. After the initial training, you will transition to our Outside Service department, providing essential roadside assistance to our valued customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform 24-hour Emergency Road Service, ensuring all road calls are completed within 2 hours.

    + Rotate on-call and back-up duty schedules as needed.

    + Execute duties of Inside Service Personnel proficiently.

    + Mount, dismount, balance, replace, and repair truck tires at customer locations, on the road, or in service shops using a service vehicle.

    + Utilize hydraulic jacks, air tools, and heavy hand tools for vehicle maintenance.

    + Identify repairable tires and perform necessary repairs.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization within the service department.

    + Communicate all work performed via tags, work orders, and invoices.

    + Perform tasks safely and efficiently, using all provided safety equipment.

    + Report any unsafe actions or equipment issues to the Service Manager or Branch Manager.

    + Conduct daily maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment, including weekly vehicle cleaning.

    + Quote product and service prices to customers as needed.

    + Complete service work orders with detailed information before submission to the Service Manager.

    + Ensure all products leave with correct documentation and report any safety or policy violations.

    + Keep the service vehicle organized and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.

    + Ensure customer safety by keeping them away from the servicing area.

    + Perform miscellaneous job duties as needed to provide prompt services to customers.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in automotive repair and general labor.

    + Proficient in using hand and power tools.

    + Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.

    + Effective communication skills for customer interaction.

    + Basic mathematical skills.

    + Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.

    + Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

    + Capability to operate service tools and equipment such as air compressors, hydraulic jacks, and mounting machines.

    + Comfortable with repetitive lifting of 60-75 lbs.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + One year or more of related work experience is helpful, but not required.

    + Basic computer skills; training will be provided.

    + Comfort with lifting techniques.

    + Steel-toed boots or sneakers are required.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment can be very hot, and proper safety attire, such as steel-toed boots or sneakers, is required. You will be working Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3 pm. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work settings, including customer locations and on the road.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
