    Job Description

    Join our team as a cook at a cozy retirement home located in Wichita, serving a small community of only 32 residents. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys crafting home-cooked meals and has experience in restaurant settings.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and instructions, ensuring high-quality home-cooked meals.

    + Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely meal service.

    + Assist with dishwashing and busing tables in the cafeteria after cooking is completed.

    + Adapt to a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the kitchen staff.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in food service and hospitality.

    + Strong customer service orientation.

    + Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.

    + Proficiency in food preparation and cleaning tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a fast-food environment or as a dishwasher is preferred.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining on your feet during shifts.

    + Flexibility to work varied shifts, including two weekends monthly.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in Wichita, KS, at a retirement home where you will work in a supportive and collaborative kitchen environment. The cook schedule is 6 AM to 6 PM, with flexibility required. You will work every other week from Monday to Friday and the following week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Expect a fast-paced environment that demands active engagement and teamwork.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
