    Job Title: Composite Production Technician

    Job Description

    As a Composite Production Technician, you will engage in various tasks related to the preparation and assembly of composite materials into panel constructions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and traceability of the panels produced.

    Responsibilities

    + Pull materials from cold storage and allow them to acclimate as per specifications.

    + Cut materials to the correct size according to the work order.

    + Lay up the cut materials into a panel construction as per the work order.

    + Transfer the panel constructions into the platen press adjusted to the correct temperature.

    + Operate the press to perform the correct burp cycle for optimal removal of volatiles.

    + Remove the panel constructions from the platen press after curing for the specified time.

    + Record press processing information on work orders to maintain traceability of panels.

    + Trim panels on a CNC machine to work order specified dimensions.

    + Palletize completed panels for shipping.

    + Maintain storage conditions for temperature-sensitive materials.

    + Actively participate in operational improvement activities.

    + Be willing to cross-train or transfer to other departments as needed.

    + Perform other tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility.

    + Work overtime as needed, including weekends.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production line operations and equipment handling.

    + Knowledge of machine safety, composite manufacturing, and material handling.

    + Proficiency in assembly, machine operation, and trim work.

    + Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    + Good basic math skills and proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).

    + Legible handwriting/printing and ability to balance multiple tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2+ years of relevant, steady work history preferred, with manufacturing experience being a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a manufacturing facility where the Materials side produces pieces assembled into complete panel products on the Cabin side next door. Be prepared for features of the environment such as heat, smells from ovens, and flakes of composite materials. Safety shoes with steel or composite toes are required. The facility operates across three shifts: 1st (4a - 2:30p), 2nd (2p - 11:30p), and 3rd (10p - 6:30a). Flexibility with shifts and weekend work is essential.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
