Repair Technician
Job Description
As a Repair Technician, you will perform skilled technical work involving the diagnosis, replacement, repair, and rebuilding of oxygen tanks and systems for aircraft. You will use diagnostic equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade, applying principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory. You will interpret and follow technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics, applying your knowledge of equipment design and function. Your role will involve adhering to industry and government guidelines, particularly concerning safety, health, and environmental practices. You will also assist in the research and development of new repair capabilities, which may involve reading and understanding new manuals and participating in on- and off-site training. Additionally, you will help maintain shop equipment and supplies, make computer entries, and complete various types of paperwork, such as Service Reports and 8130-3 forms, in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose, replace, repair, and rebuild oxygen tanks and systems for aircraft.
+ Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools specific to the trade.
+ Apply principles and practices of electrical and electronics theory.
+ Interpret and follow technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics.
+ Adhere to industry and government-specific guidelines related to safety, health, and environmental practices.
+ Assist with research and development of new repair capabilities.
+ Maintain shop equipment and supplies.
+ Make computer entries and complete maintenance documents like Service Reports and 8130-3 forms.
Essential Skills

Work Environment
This position is based in an FAA Repair Station. Technicians will work on a variety of equipment including cylinders/regulators, high-pressure tanks, and oxygen masks. The work environment is structured to prioritize safety and compliance with industry standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, California
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
