    Job Title: Production Manager (Swing) (Relocation Assistance)

    Job Description

    Oversee, plan, and direct plant production of products on various production lines within the processing departments. Ensure that all production processes meet food safety, quality, personal safety, and cost objectives. Interpret and enforce company policies, assist in determining staffing needs, and make recommendations. Manage, coach, evaluate, and train production supervisors. Achieve production goals to maintain or improve quality and comply with all federal, state, and industry-specific regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee, plan, and direct plant production on various lines.

    + Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and personal safety standards.

    + Interpret and enforce company policies.

    + Assist in determining staffing needs and make recommendations.

    + Manage, coach, evaluate, and train production supervisors.

    + Achieve production goals to maintain or improve quality.

    + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

    + 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + 3 years of supervisory experience.

    + Strong typing and PC skills.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and union contracts.

    + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

    + HACCP experience.

    + Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

    + Mathematical proficiency in all units of measure.

    + Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.

    + Experience in department cost control and budget management.

    + Ability to perform multiple tasks and define problems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bi-lingual ability is a positive but not required.

    + Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a cold food plant with industrial conditions. Employees are regularly exposed to wet, humid conditions, and moving mechanical parts. There may be exposure to fumes, airborne particles, high places, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and vibration. The noise level is loud, requiring hearing protection in production areas.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Wilder, Idaho.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
