2nd Shift Coating Technician in Franklin, TN

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Coating Technician for the 2nd shift (2:15pm-10:45pm, Monday through Friday). Initial training will occur on the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) for the first 30 days, after which you will transition to the regular 2nd shift schedule. This role is essential in preparing vacuum coating chambers for production and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the process.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare vacuum coating chambers for production.

+ Load and unload products from the chambers while strictly adhering to established protocols.

+ Follow detailed work instructions to ensure product quality.

+ Maintain company quality standards throughout the coating process.

+ Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil in pumping equipment and repairing minor equipment components.

+ Enter basic production information into computer logs.

+ Maintain coating equipment fixturing to ensure optimal performance.

+ Keep the work environment clean and organized.

+ Perform any other related duties as assigned, including setting up small cutting tools, batching them, loading, and preparing them for the coating machine. Once coated, prepare them for packing.

+ Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment control.

+ Coordination and proficiency in using hand tools.

+ Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

+ Excellent communication skills to convey information clearly and accurately.

+ Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in coating, production, packaging, pick & place, washing, loading, CNC equipment, machining, grinding, picking, packing, general labor, and general production.

Work Environment

The work environment is a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility with climate-controlled, clean-room conditions. The facility boasts bright lighting, white floors, and an extremely nice working environment. The 2nd shift runs from 2:15pm-10:45pm, Monday through Friday, with initial training on the 1st shift from 6am-2:30pm for the first 30 days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
