Job Title: 2nd Shift General Production

Job Description

A manufacturing company specializing in packaging supplies is seeking a General Helper to perform manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.

Responsibilities

+ Load and unload materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.

+ Sort and place materials up to 20 pounds on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

+ Count items to ensure they conform to company standards.

+ Mark materials with identifying information.

+ Open bales, crates, or other containers if needed.

+ Record the amount of materials or items received or distributed.

+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.

+ Ability to write short correspondence.

+ Ability to read a tape measure.

+ Computer savvy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred High School diploma.

Work Environment

The position is located in a large production facility with a very loud industrial work environment. Employees must be comfortable wearing steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs. The role requires repetitive bending, lifting, and twisting to move heavy materials throughout the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buena Park, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.32 - $20.32/hr.
