Job Description

Join our team as a 1st Shift Quality Inspector, working Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays. In this role, you will be part of the quality department, performing inspections on machined parts for the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Responsibilities

+ Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using Micrometers, Calipers, Comparators, and a CMM (if experienced).

+ Read and interpret defense blueprints and understand GD&T symbols.

+ Maintain tolerances down to +/.0001 of an inch (1/10,000).

+ Document inspections on paper, with Excel proficiency as a plus.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of Quality Inspection experience in a metal shop, preferably in Aerospace and Defense.

+ Proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T symbols.

+ Experience with micrometers, calipers, and comparators.

+ ITAR compliance.

Work Environment

You will work in a small to medium-sized machine shop with approximately 20 employees. The shop is housed in an older but well-lit, organized, and clean building. With about 30 manual machines out of 40-50, the family-owned business has been running for over 50 years, focusing on quality and never having parts returned. We operate in the Aerospace industry, contributing to projects like the Rover on Mars and satellites. The facility is air-conditioned.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
