Job Title: Assembly Operator
Job Description
This bonus-eligible position is responsible for assembling and attaching components and hardware in a prescribed manner using power or hand tools, and other equipment to complete units or sub-assemblies at a bench, conveyor line, or on the floor. The role requires checking for proper fit or adjustment and making necessary adjustments.
Responsibilities
+ Read travelers, prints, and assembly documentation.
+ Assemble parts or sub-parts using power or hand tools; check for proper fit and make adjustments.
+ Perform visual inspection of completed assembly.
+ Assist with packaging and shipping or other production areas as needed.
+ Instruct and direct less experienced operators.
+ Clean and organize workstation and maintain tools.
+ Follow established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; help maintain a safe working environment.
+ Keep work area clean and organized.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with assembly, production, and assembly line processes.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques.
+ Ability to use power tools and perform inspections.
+ Understanding of blueprints and mechanical concepts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to use tools such as rivet guns, wrenches, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and torque drive tooling.
+ Accurate usage of tape measure and fixture and testing equipment.
+ Basic math and measurement skills.
+ Strong attention to detail, dependability, honesty, and integrity.
+ A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to use time productively.
+ Ability to work with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.
+ Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
+ Willingness to work overtime as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
