Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a state-of-the-art steel processing and storage facility. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery, maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a climate-controlled, modern warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
+ Plan and execute maintenance and repair functions within the facility.
+ Purchase and manage inventory of machine and equipment spare parts.
+ Complete machine maintenance tasks and prepare detailed repair reports.
+ Assist management in implementing preventative measures to reduce waste and minimize equipment breakdowns.
+ Ensure maintenance and repair activities are conducted safely and efficiently, meeting all safety requirements.
+ Participate in safety committee meetings to uphold safety standards.
+ Assist in establishing and maintaining work instructions and process standards for maintenance functions.
+ Conduct root cause analyses for production losses related to equipment malfunctions and follow up on corrective actions.
+ Engage in continuous improvement programs such as Kaizen.
+ Contribute to the preparation of yearly budget and management plans.
+ Provide training and supervision to team members on maintenance and repair tasks.
+ Assign maintenance tasks to team members and oversee their completion.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 3-5 years of related industrial maintenance experience.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, quality manuals, and technical documents.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret various instructions and blueprints.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Excel.
+ Mechanically inclined with experience in TIG and MIG welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Crane and forklift licenses (can be obtained within the first three months of employment).
+ Experience in robotics and overhead crane maintenance is advantageous.
+ Background in automotive manufacturing or as a supplier is a plus.

Work Environment
The maintenance technician will work in a climate-controlled warehouse and production facility, primarily on a shift from 3 PM to 11:45 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekends required. Initial training will occur on the first shift for approximately six months. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Safety equipment is mandatory, and the facility maintains a high noise level due to moving mechanical parts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $57200.00/yr.
