Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and components within a manufacturing environment. This role requires advanced technical expertise to diagnose equipment malfunctions, restore functionality, and ensure optimal performance. The Maintenance Technician 3 provides high-level support across all manufacturing areas, contributing to operational efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure all equipment and building structures meet food manufacturing standards and compliance requirements.
+ Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of production machinery and facility systems.
+ Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
+ Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, driving cost savings and process enhancements.
+ Provide technical guidance and support to management and other departments.
+ Communicate repair steps, parts requirements, and estimated completion times clearly and professionally.
+ Assist in technical training for cross-functional teams.
+ Interpret blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and schematics to identify repair needs and parts.
+ Maintain compliance with 5S, housekeeping, and food safety standards, including SQF system integrity.
+ Perform advanced-level repairs on complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
+ Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
+ Lift and maneuver heavy parts and materials safely.

+ Expert-level troubleshooting skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex repairs.
+ Proficiency in disassembling and reassembling equipment using correct replacement parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
+ Proficiency in pneumatics, welding, and PLC troubleshooting.
+ Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair.
+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform fabrication and assembly tasks.

Work Environment
Work in a food manufacturing setting that involves handling dough and flour. The position requires wearing a smock and hair covering. Physical demands include standing or sitting for extended periods, frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs, regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, and occasional lifting of up to 150 lbs with assistance. The role also requires frequent use of hands for handling tools and parts, as well as visual acuity for detailed work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
