    Job Title: Warehouse Worker

    Job Description

    As a Warehouse Worker, you will primarily operate a boom lift or forklift, receiving trucks from distribution centers several times a week. Your main responsibilities include assisting with packing job orders, loading and unloading shipments, and handling UPS pack outs. You will also be involved in material handling, including lifting tile or granite pieces throughout the day.

    Responsibilities

    + Safely operate the forklift/boom lift according to the methods and procedures described during training.

    + Safely handle slabs and load/unload customer vehicles following branch-specific instructions and training methods.

    + Load and unload commercial trucks, containers, and trailers according to branch-specific instructions and training procedures.

    + Pull the correct slabs for orders and transfers, stage or place them in the correct location, and handle the associated paperwork as per branch-specific procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years of prior sit-down forklift experience.

    + Experience in a physically demanding environment, regularly lifting 75+ lbs.

    + Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Own a pair of steel-toed shoes.

    + Experience with inventory, general labor, RF scanners, loading, and pallet jacks.

    + Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

    + Safety-oriented mindset, comfortable with a 5000-pound forklift or boom lift.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The work shift is from 7:25 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and occasional Saturday shifts, most candidates are currently getting about 5 hours of OT during M-F and working 1-2 saturdays a month as well (not all saturdays are full days). While most work is indoors in a non-climate-controlled warehouse equipped with large fans, some tasks require exposure to outside weather conditions. The job involves working with material handling equipment and packaged products like grouts and chemicals. The noise level can vary depending on the tasks.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
