    Job Title: Mill Machinist

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team! This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines and other equipment for various machining processes.

    Responsibilities

    + Use and read micrometers and calipers accurately.

    + Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for various machining processes.

    + Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.

    + Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure the accuracy of machined parts.

    + Set up and operate Bridgeport type mills.

    + Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.

    + Cut, shape, and form metal parts using manual drill presses, lathes, power saws, snips, files, sand blasters, surface grinders, and mallets.

    + Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

    + Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

    + Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

    Essential Skills

    + 4+ years of experience in a similar role.

    + Proficiency in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery and processes.

    + Ability to use hand tools, including calipers and micrometers.

    + Experience with Bridgeport, CNC mills, manual machining, and Mastercam.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Haas, manual mills, milling, vertical mills, and horizontal mills.

    + Familiarity with the setup and operation of various machining equipment.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is part of a small team on the second shift, with a training period on the first shift lasting 6 months to 1 year. The work environment involves exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, and other manufacturing hazards. Employees should be prepared to stand, walk, sit, and lift or move up to 50 pounds. Good vision is required for precision work.

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
