2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician in Sparta, TN
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift in Sparta, TN. The role involves maintaining plant services to support manufacturing operations and assisting in the fabrication of special jigs and fixtures.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment, including air compressors, HVAC units, chillers, and dryers.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment such as compressors, vacuum pumps, and production assembly equipment.
+ Program and troubleshoot PLCs and similar machine control devices.
+ Document handling of refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations.
+ Repair plumbing fixtures, including toilets, sinks, and water systems.
+ Install, move, and connect equipment to designated locations.
+ Assist in general building and grounds maintenance, including cleaning and painting.
+ Handle and dispose of solid and hazardous waste and recyclable materials.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
+ Formal education or training in a related technical field with one year of experience or five years of experience in a production environment.
+ Strong background in electrical wiring and machine controls.
+ Experience in troubleshooting PLCs and electrical/electronic controls.
+ Knowledge of mechanical equipment repair, including compressors and pumps.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in steel and sheet metal fabrication.
+ Skills in arc welding and structural fitting.
+ Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Familiarity with blueprint and schematic reading.
+ Experience in conveyor and industrial maintenance.

Work Environment
Work on the 2nd shift from 3pm-11:15pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime on weekends. The role is based in a plant/production environment, and initial training may occur on the 1st shift for 2-3 weeks. We strive to balance customer demands with minimizing weekend work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparta, Tennessee
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.90 - $29.90/hr.
