    Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician experienced with motors, gearboxes, electrical components, high-speed packaging equipment, fillers, augers, labelers, mixers, conveyors, PLC controls, and robotics controls. The ideal candidate will monitor and maintain all assigned equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor and maintain all assigned equipment.

    + Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments.

    + Dismantle machines for repair using appropriate tools and equipment.

    + Reassemble machines after completion of repair or maintenance work.

    + Perform preventive maintenance.

    + Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects.

    + Observe operation of equipment to determine efficiency and detect problems.

    + Inspect or test damaged machine parts; mark defective areas and advise supervisors of repair needs.

    + Record repair and machine maintenance data.

    + Read work orders and specifications to identify machines requiring repair.

    + Collaborate with coworkers to repair or move machines, parts, and equipment.

    + Monitor work being performed by outside contractors.

    + Comply with all safety policies and procedures when performing maintenance.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors and managers.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.

    + Experience with PLC programming and industrial electricity.

    + Ability to read, interpret, and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics, block diagrams, and flow charts.

    + Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

    + Advanced troubleshooting skills of PLCs and industrial electricity.

    + Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic processes.

    + Ability to make sound equipment maintenance decisions under minimal direction.

    + Physically able to push, pull, and lift heavy loads throughout the day.

    + Working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with production staff.

    + Ability to think quickly and prioritize downtime severity.

    + Ability to practice diplomacy and tact.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility operates three shifts, expect a dynamic work environment where proper attire and specific washing methods are required to prevent contamination.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr.
