    Job Title: PCB Test Technician

    Job Description

    As a PCB Test Technician, you will devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability in alignment with product design and specifications. You will participate in engineering design review efforts, produce reports on test activities, and track test metrics. You will drive failure analysis efforts, manage documentation, provide technical analysis, and interact with customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

    + Provide test areas with parameters for testing and specify tests to be performed.

    + Provide technical expertise and support across multiple programs and technologies.

    + Test all customer deliverable hardware and special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

    + Perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products.

    + Develop testing procedures and plans, including environmental, regression, dynamic, and scripted automation testing.

    + Monitor for continual test process improvement through failure analysis, throughput analysis, and yield analysis.

    + Mentor and coach early career engineers.

    + Travel minimally as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Electronics and engineering troubleshooting.

    + Ability to debug and deduce digital design issues using lab tools.

    + Experience with environmental testing, including bench supplies, scopes, and logic analyzers.

    + Resource management and scheduling experience.

    + PCB design and layout experience.

    + Understanding of AS9100 industry standard practices.

    + Failure analysis experience such as Ishikawa and '5-Why'.

    + Strong written and oral communication skills.

    + Leadership skills and a positive attitude.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of optics and/or optical testing.

    + Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

    + Experienced with frequent use of technical standards, principles, and theories.

    + Basic MS Word & MS Excel competency; advanced MS Office & Office 365 skills are a plus.

    This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $54.00/hr.
