Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description
Join our team as a Concrete Laborer where you will be actively involved in general labor tasks, setting up and pouring concrete, and cleaning forms. Your role will also include assisting with basic carpentry and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This position will be in various locations, dependent upon project location. Experience in construction is required. You should be capable of lifting around 50 pounds and comfortable with standing and moving throughout the day. Some travel may be required, but always home on weekends.
Responsibilities
+ Perform general labor tasks related to concrete setup and pouring.
+ Clean and maintain forms and equipment after use.
+ Assist with basic carpentry tasks as needed.
+ Ensure the work area is clean and organized.
+ Collaborate with the team to produce high-quality concrete products.
+ Set and align forms to achieve the desired depth and pitch for concrete placement.
+ Signal truck drivers for positioning and move the truck's chute to direct the flow of concrete into forms.
+ Use tools like rakes, shovels, and screeds to spread and level the concrete to the required depth and consistency.
+ Smooth, shape, and finish the concrete surface with floats, power trowels, and other tools.
+ Mold edges and expansion joints using jointers and edging tools, and apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the concrete.
+ Patch rough or defective spots and use abrasive stones to rub the surface for a desired finish.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction and concrete work.
+ Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
+ Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
+ Willingness to travel as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Motivation to work in a team-oriented environment.
+ Capability to adapt to different project locations.
+ Experience in basic carpentry is advantageous.

Work Environment
Work at various commercial, agricultural, and industrial sites across Eastern Idaho, with projects extending to Western Montana. A $25 per diem is provided for overnight jobs, and hotel accommodations are arranged. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am until jobs are done, typically between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm, with potential for up to 60 hours per week during busy periods. The dress code includes general work clothes, such as jeans, a t-shirt, a high-visibility shirt or vest, a hard hat, safety shoes, and safety glasses. Employees should have a tool belt with basic tools, while larger tools are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rigby, Idaho.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
