Job Title: Lead Inventory Specialist

Job Description

As a Lead Inventory/Materials Specialist, you will take charge of the kitting area within the warehouse during the 2nd shift. Your role involves leading, coaching, and training your team, dedicating 50% of your time to leadership and the other 50% to hands-on inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and manage the team, ensuring smooth operation and addressing absenteeism.

+ Spend approximately 70% of your time working on computer systems, 20% on material movement equipment, and 10% walking within the facility.

+ Utilize various systems such as SAP to track inventory and ensure accuracy.

+ Generate and print inventory reports, conduct audits, and ensure physical and system inventories are synchronized.

+ Conduct physical inventory counts and locate missing inventory parts.

+ Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the quality of inventory control.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience in inventory tracking and data entry.

+ Comfortable operating stand-up forklifts and other vehicles in a warehouse setting.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and order tracking systems.

+ At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.

+ Ability to work with data entry systems and navigate computer programs with high aptitude.

+ Comfortable working at heights and using safety equipment such as harnesses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience leading teams in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

+ Experience working with SAP and other ERP systems.

+ Prior experience as a 4Q Auditor, in supply chain planning, or as an Inventory Specialist is beneficial.

+ High attention to detail and strong attendance record.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
