Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
The Product Quality Specialist plays a key role in creating, maintaining, and communicating produce quality standards. This role collaborates with warehouse operations, sales teams, and suppliers to ensure the distribution of the highest quality products to customers. Additionally, the role involves working closely with customers to share product information and enhance their produce marketing success.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct quality control inspections within the food industry and warehouse production.
+ Perform visual inspections of produce to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Document inspection results and manage inventory effectively.
+ Ensure compliance with food safety and receiving policies.
+ Operate heavy powered equipment such as electric pallet jacks or forklifts safely.
+ Collaborate with sales teams and suppliers to maintain product quality.
+ Provide product information to customers for marketing success.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience in produce inspection.
+ Ability to safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
+ Strong knowledge of food safety policies and procedures.
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
+ Punctuality and dependability with adherence to attendance policies.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Sage or similar software is preferred.
+ Willingness to work flexible hours including early morning shifts.
+ Ability to learn and operate operations software.
+ Knowledge of HACCP, GAPs, and other good practices.
+ Ability to work independently and solve problems.

Work Environment
This position is based in a cold storage warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 33°F to 55°F. The role requires walking the floor frequently, working around heavy machinery and pallet racking. The company operates 7 days a week, with shifts starting early in the morning based on operational needs. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, engage in stooping or squatting, and wear protective equipment such as steel-toe/composite-toe boots and safety vests. The schedule includes Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Friday with an early departure, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
