Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of product quality within our manufacturing facility. This role involves utilizing specialized software to manage quality documents and records, supporting data collection efforts, and updating Key Performance Indicator reports. The QCI is also responsible for investigating product non-conformities and collaborating with engineering and management to determine appropriate actions.
Responsibilities
+ Utilize specialized software to maintain quality documents and records.
+ Provide support with data collection and update Key Performance Indicator reports.
+ Investigate product non-conformities and coordinate with engineering and management for resolution.
+ Support the engineering department in executing quality-related tasks.
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings for product inspection and validation.
+ Issue Engineering Change Requests for product/manufacturing specification updates.
+ Communicate quality-related issues and issue Corrective Action reports.
+ Organize and maintain the Quarantine area for non-conforming material.
+ Interface with customers to resolve quality-related issues and inquiries.
+ Assist with quality management system audits as needed.
+ Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Machine Shop, and Safety.
+ Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
+ Maintain 5S implementation throughout the facility.
Essential Skills
+ At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing/production facility.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
+ At least 2 years of experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, scale, protractor, and tape measure.
+ Experience in inspection, quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferably experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburg, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
