Description Are you detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in problem-solving? A manufacturing organization is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Clean-Up Specialist to streamline and optimize their AP processes. This is a project-based opportunity aimed at ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the client’s financial records. Responsibilities: AP Cleanup and Reconciliation: Review and reconcile outstanding invoices, duplicate payments, and misapplied transactions in the accounts payable system. Data Accuracy: Audit vendor master data to ensure all contact, payment, and tax information is accurate and up-to-date. Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the current AP workflow and suggest improvements to streamline processes. Aging Report Management: Analyze AP aging reports, resolve discrepancies, and clear outstanding balances. Vendor Communication: Collaborate with vendors to ensure payment terms are accurate and resolve any disputes or overdue payments. Documentation and Training: Create clear documentation of the improved AP processes. Provide training to relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with updated procedures. Compliance Checks: Ensure that all AP-related transactions comply with internal policies and relevant regulations. Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Detail-Oriented: Ability to identify and correct errors in high volumes of data. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and internal teams.
