Are you detail-oriented, numbers-driven, and ready to grow your career in payroll? A dynamic engineering and operations firm in Encinitas is seeking a motivated Payroll Clerk to join their team and support full-cycle payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees. This role is ideal for someone who loves precision, organization, and problem-solving. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every paycheck is accurate, timely, and compliant — while working alongside a friendly and collaborative accounting department.

• Key Responsibilities:

+ Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple departments.

+ Verify timesheets, review adjustments, and handle payroll discrepancies.

+ Maintain and update employee payroll records, tax withholdings, and deductions.

+ Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance documentation.

+ Support the HR team with onboarding and payroll setup for new hires.

+ Respond to employee questions regarding pay, benefits, and timekeeping.

+ Ensure accuracy and confidentiality at every step of the payroll process.

Requirements

+ 1–2 years of payroll or accounting support experience.

+ Familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, or similar).

+ Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

+ Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

+ Commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
