Nuveen is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Institutional Distribution group, specifically supporting the Global Consultant Relations team. The successful candidate will partner with the Team to ensure coverage of the regional-based Consultant Relations effort. This individual will support the fostering of relationships with counterparts at Investment Consulting firms resulting in the development and retention of assets for our asset management business.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
+ Fulfill sales support and service requests for product and marketing collateral.
+ Build relationships with support staff at Investment Consulting firms to identify opportunities and business at risk with the goal of increasing and retaining assets invested in Nuveen's investment strategies.
+ Extensive email and phone-based service for requests that are either ad hoc, recurring, or involve RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs.
+ Coordinate the completion of RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs.
+ Develop, maintain and communicate knowledge of Nuveen’s investment expertise to investment consultants.
+ Research the validity of public search opportunities.
+ Maintain contact lists and coordinate the deployment of marketing campaigns to investment consultants.
+ Work closely with the Team to execute business plans in the regional territory.
+ Compile management reports and presentations as needed.
+ Work with legal, product, and operations contacts to ensure smooth on-boarding of new clients.
+ Identify, cultivate, and drive relationships with internal business partners.
+ Maintain and document activities through CRM/Salesforce.
+ Special project work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
+ 2+ years of related experience in a sales support role in the Financial Services and/or Asset Management industry
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
+ Facility with Excel pivot tables, V-lookup, macros a plus.
+ Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
+ Experience and exposure to financial markets and investment products across the range of traditional assets including alternative asset classes.
+ Ability to develop strong client relationships and an in-depth understanding of client needs.
+ Sound time management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
+ Personal initiative/self-starter who takes on an entrepreneurial approach to complete required tasks.
+ Ability to communicate complex information and analysis in written and graphical form.
+ Familiarity with institutional investment consulting industry a plus.
+ Familiarity with eVestment, Preqin, Morningstar Direct, a plus

Base Pay Range: $71,700/yr - $100,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
