Description

A client of ours in the manufacturing industry is looking for a motivated Accounting Clerk to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:

The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the finance and accounting team by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth processing of transactions. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

+ Perform data entry and maintain financial records in accounting software systems.

+ Assist with reconciliations, including bank statements and vendor accounts.

+ Prepare and distribute invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.

+ Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

+ Monitor expense reports and ensure adherence to company guidelines.

+ Assist with preparation of financial reports for management review.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain effective communication.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.

+ Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other widely used platforms).

+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
