    Position Summary

    CVS Health is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for Strategic Initiatives to lead transformative programs within our HR Technology ecosystem. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and execution powerhouse who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about shaping the future of work through technology.

     

    As a leader for Strategic Initiatives, you’ll drive enterprise-wide initiatives that modernize our HR systems, elevate employee experience, enable data-driven decision-making and execute mergers and acquisitions. You’ll partner with senior HR and IT leaders to align technology strategy with business goals, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable impact.

    What you will do:

    + **Strategic Program Leadership** : Design and lead high-impact initiatives that transform HR technology platforms.

    + **Executive Collaboration** : Partner with HR Leadership, Technology teams and stakeholders to define and execute strategic priorities.

    + **Cross-Functional Leadership** : Lead projects involving diverse teams across HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors to deliver integrated solutions.

    + **Plan and Execute** : Define project scope, estimate effort, track progress of multiple initiatives, and present updates during portfolio reviews.

    + **Process Gap Analysis** : Identify inefficiencies and gaps in HR and payroll systems and processes. Document findings and collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions.

    + **Change Enablement** : Drive adoption of new tools and processes through structured change management, training, and communications.

    + **Vendor & Platform Strategy** : Evaluate, select, and manage technology partners to ensure scalability, compliance, and ROI.

    + **Governance & Risk** : Ensure initiatives meet regulatory, security, and operational standards.

    + **M&A Integration** : Lead HR technology strategy and execution for mergers, acquisitions, and divestiture; including due diligence, systems integration, and workforce transition planning.

    + **Agile Methodologies and Product model** : Collaborate cross-functionally in Agile environments and product model frameworks to drive iterative process improvements and deliver optimized, user-centric business solutions.

    Required Qualifications

    + 8+ years' experience in HR technology, strategy and transformation roles.

    + 6+ years' experience successfully leading enterprise-wide HR tech initiatives (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).

    + 6+ years' experience working with HR processes, systems architecture, and digital trends.

    + 5+ years' experience with stakeholder management, exhibiting excellent communication skills.

    + 5+ years' experience with agile methodologies, change management, and vendor negotiations.

    + 5+ years' experience demonstrating ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously.

    + 5+ years' experience displaying strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    + 5+ years experience exhibiting a growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills.

    + 5+ years' experience executing and delivering (planning, delivering, and supporting) programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.

    + Strong background in HR and Payroll processes with experience on working in HRIT/HRIS.

    + Experience with emerging technologies like AI in HR, automation, and digital employee experience platforms.

    + Experience working in large, matrix organizations.

    + Demonstrated success in leading HR technology strategy and execution during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.

    Education

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, IT, or related field.

    + MBA or advanced degree preferred.

     

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $118,450.00 - $236,900.00

     

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
