About Us:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team and help ensure smooth and accurate payroll operations for our employees.

Position Overview:

The Payroll Clerk will support the payroll process by managing and processing employee compensation efficiently and accurately. This entry-level role is perfect for an individual with excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a desire to grow their career within the medical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Payroll Processing: Assist in preparing and processing payroll for hourly, salaried, and contracted employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

+ Timekeeping Records: Review and verify timecards, shift schedules, and records for completeness and accuracy.

+ Employee Records Maintenance: Update, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of employee information, including tax withholdings, direct deposit details, and benefit selections.

+ Regulatory Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring payroll aligns with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax compliance and overtime calculations.

+ Reporting: Generate reports on employee earnings, deductions, and other requested data for management review.

+ Payroll Inquiries: Respond to employee questions regarding paychecks, tax forms (e.g., W-2s), and payroll deductions in a professional and timely manner.

+ Clerical Duties: Maintain a well-organized filing system, both digital and physical, for payroll records as required for audits and compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in accounting, business, or a related field is a plus.

+ Experience: Previous experience as a payroll clerk or in an administrative/accounting position is preferred; experience in a healthcare setting is a bonus.

+ Technical Skills: Familiarity with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or Kronos is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.

+ Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and organizational skills to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

+ Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to address employee payroll-related inquiries.

+ Problem-Solving: Ability to identify payroll issues, research solutions, and ensure successful resolution.

+ Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Confidentiality: Handle sensitive employee information with the utmost professionalism and discretion.
