Description We are looking for an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join our legal team in Pasadena, California on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of California litigation processes and a proven track record of supporting attorneys in insurance defense cases. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence.

• Conduct thorough analysis of case materials, including records provided by clients, opposing counsel, and medical providers.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate information in case management systems, ensuring timely organization of case files.

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to address inquiries and provide detailed case updates.

• Coordinate the preparation and submission of forms, orders, notices, and other legal documentation.

• Facilitate client services by ensuring timely follow-up and resolving case-related needs.

• Assist in identifying, engaging, and consulting with expert witnesses for case preparation.

• Manage billing processes for completed tasks and ensure accurate documentation of billable hours. Requirements • Associate’s degree in legal assisting, law enforcement, human services, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of California litigation procedures and practices.

• Proven ability to draft and proofread legal documents with exceptional attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using case management software and handling billing processes.

• Experience in insurance defense litigation and civil legal proceedings.

• Capability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.

• Familiarity with standard discovery protocols and litigation workflows.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
