• Temporary Merchandising Sample Coordinator

    OVERVIEW

    Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Temporary Sample Coordinator to join the Merchandising team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Responsible for post market management of all samples for Mainline Leather Goods, RTW, Footwear, Jewelry; Heaven RTW, Accessories, Jewelry; Outlet Leather Goods & Jewelry, Beauty, Little Marc, Eyewear

    + Maintain database of samples that includes notable product corrections that need to be corrected in post-production, current location of samples, estimate return status, future needs etc.

    + Follow up with all cross-functional teams on sample return status and condition

    + Key cross functional partners: Product Merchants, Creative Services, Marketing Team, PR Team, Commercial teams, PD Teams, and Design

    + Maintain and organize the sample closets

    + Seasonal Market support including:

    + Showroom organization & maintenance

    + Market photography – packing samples, detailed photography shot lists, coding images

    + Organizing carnet/sample shipments for market if necessary

    + Data integrity in all systems

    + General support for Merch owned product data integrity in all systems – PLM, JOOR, AX

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + 2 years’ experience, or previous internship in fashion

    + In office role, 5 days a week

    + Highly detail oriented with strong organizational & problem-solving skills

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Team oriented with ability to multi-task

    + Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for all projects

    + Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, PLM & ERP Systems

    SALARY

    The compensation for this position ranges from $25 per hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Marc Jacobs uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward all levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.
