Position Summary/Description:
The Department of Romance Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (http://romancestudies.unc.edu) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position: Assistant Professor in Modern/contemporary Hispanic Caribbean Studies to begin July 1, 2026. We encourage applications from innovative scholars with interdisciplinary research interests who can contribute to dynamic undergraduate programs in Hispanic Studies and the graduate program in Iberian and Latin American Literatures and Cultures.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant community of scholars and students with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and support through research units such as the Institute for the Study of the Americas, the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Research in Black Culture and History, the American Indian Center, and UNC’s Latino/a Studies Program.
