As Manufacturing Technician you will provide support and daily troubleshooting for assembly, welding, soldering, wiring, measurement systems, testing, and other manufacturing processes.
Job Description
We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician **.** This position will be a **full-time** and **onsite contract opportunity in Hampton, VA** **The w** **ork schedule for this role will be** **M-F 6:00AM - 2:30PM.**
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
What** **You’ll** **Do
+ Provide support and daily troubleshooting for assembly, welding, soldering, wiring, measurement systems, testing, and other manufacturing processes as required
+ Willingness to acquire knowledge of additional processes over time
+ Collaborate closely with manufacturing personnel to assist in new projects and product launches
+ Prepare and modify documentation related to manufacturing processes, including BOMs, routers, standard work procedures, and process run/setup sheets
+ Initiate improvement ideas and actions to enhance product manufacturability, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness
+ Efficiently manage small projects to ensure timely completion within budget constraints
What You'll Need
Required
+ Possess a minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent
+ Demonstrated expertise in soldering, wiring, and measurement systems
+ Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment
+ Effective communication skills essential for collaboration within teams
+ Flexible mindset adaptable to changing priorities or focus areas
Preferred
+ Associate’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
+ Utilizing LEAN tools for process optimization
+ Familiarity with electrical assembly, welding, and test equipment
+ Experience with SAP system utilization
+ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
+ Proficiency in 2D or 3D CAD software
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$25.00-36.00 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
