    We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to process invoices and manage urgent payment requests. This role involves less coding of invoices and more focus on resolving issues and executing payments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at multitasking, with a positive attitude towards challenges.

    Responsibilities

    + Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

    + Monitor priority check request email box daily and handle multiple urgent requests.

    + Act as liaison between corporate and field, including researching issues prior to payment.

    + Answer vendor and market inquiries.

    + Maintain and compile accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and records.

    + Distribute signed checks and assemble/process overnight shipments to branches and vendors.

    + Create ACH uploads for the bank daily.

    + Research status of payables in the process chain.

    + Assist in monthly closings by posting all invoices received by the last day of the month.

    + Analyze accounts to assist vendors in reconciling differences between records.

    + Identify and correct opportunities to minimize expenses.

    + Follow up with various properties on outstanding security deposits.

    Essential Skills

    + 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, ideally 1+ years.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.

    + Strong research and resolution skills.

    + High attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Ability to adapt and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

    + Customer service focused, especially in handling tough situations.

    + General knowledge of accounting, accounts payable, invoice processing, and purchase orders.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + ERP experience is a plus.

    + A degree is preferred but not required if you have AP experience.

    + Not easily overwhelmed and possesses a positive attitude.

    + Curious and inquisitive with a personal drive.

    Work Environment

    You will be part of a close-knit accounting team of 20 people, including AP, AR, and GL. Initially, you will work on-site at the DTC office until fully trained, with the option to work from home 2-3 days a week afterward.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood Village, Colorado.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
