The Opportunity
The Accounting Intern performs and provides support for professional accounting work involving financial data. Responsible for activities including the research of various subledger and general ledger accounts, and review of expenditures. May include any or all of the following: maintaining subsidiary and general ledgers, preparing schedules, cost and expense accounting activities, record retention, and conducting research and analysis.
In this internship, you would be responsible for:
+ Reviewing line item detail within sub and general ledger accounts
+ Analyzing Journal Entries within SAP, contacting parties outside of accounting when relevant, and coordinating reclass or Income Statement recognition journal entries
+ Running analysis reports for internal sales characteristics to maintain financial reporting accuracy
+ Reviewing and reconciling manufacturing production process orders
+ Performing material level cost analysis to guarantee accuracy for financial close and sales reporting
+ Performing other Cost Accounting tasks, as directed
+ Adhering to internal control requirements
+ Supporting other team members, as needed
+ Assisting with other accounting matters and special projects as directed

+ Student pursuing Bachelor's Degree with Accounting concentration

+ Proficient in Excel and Outlook
+ Proficient communication skills and ability to interact with internal customers

+ Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
+ Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
