How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice
As a Senior Studio Photographer, you will bring the Paula’s Choice brand story and product assortment to life through compelling imagery. You will lead the end-to-end production of in-house photoshoots, ensuring every image meets our high standards of quality, consistency, and creativity. This is a highly collaborative role that partners closely with creative leadership to evolve our brand’s visual aesthetic across channels.
Core skills for success in this role include top-notch technical expertise in studio photography, creative problem-solving, organizational excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. This is an exciting opportunity to directly shape the look and feel of Paula’s Choice visual storytelling.
As a Senior Studio Photographer, a typical day might include a mix of the following:
+ Executing high-quality, consistent product and on-figure photography (including still life, before & after consumer shoots, and lifestyle/editorial).
+ Retouching and digitally manipulating images to support creative and design needs.
+ Maintaining proper file naming, archiving, and exporting assets in multiple resolutions within the digital asset library.
+ Shooting in-studio, at Seattle HQ, and on-location as needed.
+ Ensuring all photography aligns with brand style guides, including image composition, surfaces, background, and lighting standards.
+ Collaborating with creative leadership on new test shoot ideas, visual trends, and proactively evolving the brand’s photographic style.
+ Working closely with the studio team to improve workflows, maximize capacity, and enhance operational efficiency.
+ Operating and maintaining studio equipment, organizing supplies, and sourcing props or styling items.
+ Supporting additional creative needs and providing overarching assistance across the studio team.
+ Staying current with photography trends, lighting innovations, and creative best practices.
+ Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.
The Details:
+ **Location:** **This is a hybrid role, must be based in the Pacific Northwest. This role requires on-site presence at our Seattle, WA headquarters up to 75% of the time.**
+ Hours: Typical PST Business Hours, some flexibility required.
+ Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time
+ Travel requirements: 5%
What you’ll bring to the table:
+ 4+ years of professional experience in commercial photography, with a strong focus on product photography.
+ Proven ability to independently art direct and execute in-house photoshoots.
+ Comprehensive portfolio demonstrating product and on-figure photography, along with retouching and editing expertise.
+ Advanced proficiency in Capture One and Adobe Photoshop; working knowledge of Illustrator and InDesign.
+ Strong understanding of digital image quality standards, including file sizing, light balancing, and color correction.
+ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple shoots in a fast-paced studio environment.
+ Flexible, solutions-oriented problem-solver who adapts quickly to new challenges in a studio setting.
+ Collaborative team player who is detail-oriented, proactive, and receptive to feedback with a growth mindset.

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:
_$105,000 - $115,000 USD/annually_

Paula’s Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
