Overview:
The Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in managing end-to-end sourcing operations, driving cost efficiencies, and strengthening supplier partnerships. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with organisational goals, analysing spend data, and identifying opportunities to optimise procurement processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing Strategy & Development
+ Design and implement sourcing strategies that support business objectives, budget targets, and operational needs while minimising risk.
+ Conduct comprehensive spend analysis at organisational, divisional, commodity, and supplier levels to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
+ Perform market research to identify emerging technologies and supplier trends.
+ Utilise data analytics to uncover sourcing opportunities and inform decision-making.
+ Develop negotiation strategies and secure agreements with favourable terms.
Sourcing Management
+ Lead the end-to-end RFx process and manage sourcing events.
+ Negotiate contracts in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with service expectations and risk mitigation.
+ Draft and route contract documentation, including cover sheets and terms and conditions.
+ Evaluate supplier capabilities, financial health, and market standing.
+ Determine optimal supplier selection methods for new opportunities and pricing initiatives.
+ Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between suppliers and internal teams.
Customer Relationship Management
+ Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders through regular engagement to understand evolving sourcing needs.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor, facilitator, and problem solver for internal clients.
Supplier Relationship Management
+ Maintain a deep understanding of supplier offerings and future developments that may impact pricing or contract terms.
+ Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to inform future sourcing decisions.
Professional Development
+ Create and maintain an annual development plan to stay current on industry trends, procurement best practices, and healthcare sector changes.
Qualifications
Required Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
Preferred Education:
+ Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
